What can I say about this show year other than I am sad to see it come to an end! We have had such an amazing year! I cannot be more proud of the accomplishments and the rabbits that made it all possible!
I have surpassed my own personal goals this year, earning more legs, more points and granding more animals than my record year in 2012. Granted 2012 was only made possible by Velotta's Wyatt Earp. He was such a fantastic and amazing buck! I was so blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing and owning him and watching him rise to his full potential!
Although Wyatt made 2012 possible, 2015 was made possible by homebred, GML rabbits! The top winner in the barn would be the wonderful GML Ride The Lightning with a total of 6 legs for 2015! Slowly working his way to beat Wyatt's 11 leg wins! Can he do it? I guess we will have to wait til the start of the 2016 show year to see, but he is half way there! Creeping up behind him, and at times has taken the leg from his father, is GML Supernatural! Another REW with tons of potential! Two more boys granded this year, GML I Am Legend and GML Whiskey A Go Go. Glacier's Summer Frost also granded this year, and sets the record for the first homebred Harlequin that granded!
A couple more amazing animals, GML Butterfly Effect. One of the best does I have bred! Butterfly granded with ease, showing only in two events in her lifetime. Sadly over the summer we lost her, shortly after she kindled a litter. We did manage to save most of the litter, in which GML Scream Of The Butterfly has stayed on in the barn. Can she live up to her mom's reputation? Just another thing to watch out for in 2016

I have to give another shout out to yet another amazing doe, GML Freya! It's been a while since there have been any chestnuts in my barn, but this girl takes the cake! Winning a total of 6 legs as a junior, including one Best Opposite of Breed leg at Idaho State Convention, up against some super tough competition! I could not be more proud of this girl, and cannot wait to watch her mature and see her on the tables as a Senior! If she keeps this up, she just may end up giving Lightning a run for his money!
Now that this year's Show Season has come to it's end I can only be hopeful for what next year will become. I am still debating on who, if anyone will be attending ARBA Convention this year in Portland. Time is running out on this decision, as entries are due soon!
We are also awaiting point results from MLRCA. They should be posted soon. I wonder how we will rank this year. Although, I know I cannot complete point wise to those who are able to show just about every weekend, but it's still fun none the less! Not only that, sending in my show reports with the $1 fee supports this wonderful club! My only goal is to be able to collect more points than the previous year. This tells me that I am doing better and continueing to progress and improve. Regardless of how I place amoungst the rest of the Mini Loppers in points!
This winter we will be relaxing from the shows, planning out our breedings for next year, and watching the fall juniors grow, develop and mature! I want to thank all the clubs here in Montana for their time in putting on such wonderful shows! See you all next year!
